General Information and Policies

 

CANCELLATIONS / REFUND POLICY
Camp registration may be cancelled prior to June 15th and the camper will receive a full refund (minus the 4.95% online convenience fee). After June 15th, there will be a $100.00 administrative fee as well as the 4.95% online convenience fee. If a camper is injured during camp and leaves early, the refund amount can be pro-rated and discussed with the camp director.
 
CHECK-IN
Check-in will take place at host institution on first day and posted start time.
 
WHAT TO BRING
All campers should bring all volleyball equipment including appropriate volleyball shoes and knee pads. Be sure to bring a water bottle with your name on it. Please remember to bring your health/waiver form to check-in if it has not been submitted prior to camp.

RESIDENTIAL: Campers will not need to bring linens or towels as they will receive these items at check-in. We recommend bringing your own pillow and pillowcase, shower shoes, alarm clock, t-shirts, shorts or spandex, shoes, kneepads, socks, pajamas, toiletry and personal items.
 
HOUSING / ROOMMATE REQUESTS
Lodging is available for all camps on campus except for the Little Gobblers Camp and Skills Workshops.

Roommate requests should be made during the registration process. We will do our best to accommodate all request but cannot guarantee they can all be met. Each room will house two campers and there is no exceptions to this.

Team camp coaches, please plan to provide your rooming list for your team. One high school coach per school must stay in the dorm to accompany and monitor their team. If a room key is lost, there will be a $35 charge. The camp staff will do room checks at the end of each camp and campers are financially responsible for any damage to the room or university property.
 
CAMP STORE
There will be a camp store open during camp. We will have snacks and beverages available for purchase. We will also have Virginia Tech Volleyball gear and merchandise available for purchase.
 
FACILITIES
All volleyball action will take place on campus at Cassell Coliseum, War Gymnasium, or McComas Hall.
 
MEALS
Most meals will be provided at the Virginia Tech dining halls. Overnight campers will receive breakfast, lunch and dinner. Campers that are commuting will receive lunch and dinner.

Our staff will also sell snacks and drinks at the camp store which will be open during the session breaks. We recommend bringing some spending money for snacks or other merchandise sold at the camp store.

For Little Gobblers camp, lunch will not be provided and campers must bring their own packed lunch.
 
MEDICAL AND WAIVER FORMS
All campers must have their own accident and health insurance. The medical form, waiver statement and health insurance page are included in the online registration process. No camper will be allowed to participate without these completed forms.

All campers must complete and submit the Medical and Release Waiver Form prior to the start of camp. The form can be scanned and emailed to jillwilsonVBcamps@gmail.com or campers can bring it to check-in. Insurance information must be included on the form as well as a parent signature. We will have certified trainers on staff and will provide water during all sessions. Campers will be supervised at all times.
